The World Chocolate Masters is the world's premium International Culinary competition devoted solely to the creative use of chocolate in all its applications. It is the only truly global culinary competition based on world wide national pre-selection competitions and an International Final.
The objective of both the National Selections and World Final is to provide a high interest format to promote the best artisans around the globe and support best chocolate practice. The competitions are intended to provide an accessible framework to promote the recognition of the personality, audacity and ingenuity of the chocolate world to the public as a whole. The World Chocolate Masters wishes to take chocolate Competition to a truly international audience, having a presence everywhere where Carma is used in the world.
This year's competition theme is 'Cocoa, Quetzalcoatl's Gift'. Contestants are challenged to express this in all their creations.
No fewer than 19 upcoming and extremely gifted chocolate wizards will take part in the international finals to be held during October 2011 in Paris. In front of a live audience and a jury of professionals, they will have to demonstrate the highest possible degree of creativity and chocolate skills. Only 1 of them will become the World Chocolate Master 2011.
